Southlake Chamber of Commerce Announces Annual Award Recipients

The Southlake Chamber held the Stars of Southlake Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, April 8th at the Marriott Solana. The recipients were recognized at the star-studded ceremony sponsored by Texas Health Harris Methodist Southlake for their accomplishments in community, service and business.

“We honor these individuals that have made positive change in our Chamber and community and set an example for others to follow with their initiative, creativity and energy,” said Jill Clifton, Board Chair.

The coveted Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Carolyn Hobbs. “We are honored to have Carolyn represent the City of Southlake as the 2010 Citizen of the Year” said Dana Davis, President and CEO of the Southlake Chamber. “Carolyn was heavily involved in many organizations and relevant projects in 2010 that enhanced the quality of life in Southlake. A long-time Southlake resident, Carolyn has been actively engaged in improving Southlake for many years and is well deserving of this recognition.”

This award recognizes exemplary service to the Southlake Chamber of Commerce through the dedication of time, resources and ideas that have served to enhance Chamber success and opportunities.

This award recognizes an organization that has had a positive impact through their involvement in the community and as a result of actions taken by the organization to improve the lives of people.
