On Saturday, May 19th, the Community Services Department hosted the Southlake Summer Kickoff event for the 4th year. This is the second year in which it was held in Southlake Town Square. Families were able to come out and meet the instructors, participate in class demos, register for programs and enjoy live entertainment. Attendees were able to cool off with free ice cream provided by Tasti-D-Lite.
The Community Services Department had a very successful registration day and the Library had approximately 400 people sign up for the annual Summer Reading Club. Several City information booths were at the event as well. Planning, Public Works, Building Inspections, Parks and the Senior Activity Center all helped to make this a great event!
It’s not too late to register for all the summer programs! Visit the Southlake Scene online to see all the activities being offered. Register online or you can come into the Community Services office in Town Hall, Suite 210 to register.
