Emerald Belles Sweep Multiple Categories in Drill Team Competition

The Emerald Belles recently took the top spot at the Crowd Pleasers Drill Team Dance Competition held Feb. 14-15 at Timber Creek High School in Keller ISD.

Judges awarded the Belles 1st Place Overall and Contest Grand Champion, receiving $500.

The Belles also received the highest scoring team dance of the day for their high kick routine. The Emerald Belles swept multiple categories taking first place for Jazz, Kick, and Lyrical dances, Division top honors for Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Technique, Winner’s Circle, and all divisions in the jazz and high kick category.

The officers came home with the highest awards as well. Receiving first place in all their dances, Outstanding Choreography, Outstanding Technique, Elite Circle, and first place in their division.

Several of the Belles competed in the Solo Division out of over 100 girls. Addie Perkins, Lacey Munoz, Anna Grace Pruitt, Jenna Seaton, Brooke Gordon, and Cheylee Weigel were named in the Top 20 Senior Division.

The Belles continued to bring home awards following competitions among the top five dancers. Addie Perkins won first place in the 11th/12th grade solo division, Lacey Munoz received third place, and Anna Grace Pruitt came in fifth place. In the 9th/10th grade solo division, Jessica Bowman won second place, Claire McCoy too third place, Laurel Kavanagh came in fourth place, and Claire Berutti was named fifth place. Jenna Seaton and Addie Perkins performed a Duet and took second place.

14 Belles competed in the ensemble division with a high kick dance, taking first place. This team included Jessica Stephenson, Brooke Davis, Samantha Koszarek, Cayla Contardi, Abby Keyes, Berkley McFarlin, Emily Collins, Aspen Reid, Christina Wettig, Tatum Wallace, Morgan Wilson, Tiffany Stringer, Sophia Parrish, and Ryleigh Malloy.
