Carroll Lands 46 Commended Students on 2015 List

Carroll Dragon logo Trademarked 4Carroll Senior High School has received the honor of 46 students being named to the Commended Students list in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Dragon Receives National Recognition
Carroll senior Kamal Phelps has been named one of the National Achievement Program Outstanding Participants referred to colleges. Phelps scored in the top three percent of more than 160,000 Black Americans who took the PSAT in October of 2013. A roster of these students is sent to about 1,500 college and universities.
