Suspects Arrested in String of Armed Robberies and Burglaries

A pair of suspects wanted in a string of aggravated robberies and burglaries in multiple cities are now behind bars thanks to great police work. On Sunday, May 31, 2015 at around 3:00 p.m. Southlake Police Officers responded to a resident in the 2100 block of Cheyenne Park. police_arrest_handcuffs  The resident told police he was outside his home when two men pulled up next to him in a vehicle.  One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim’s chest and took his cell phone. Prior to this aggravated robbery the suspects reportedly committed a burglary of a habitation through an open garage door in the 1000 block of Carroll Meadows Court. As investigators worked these two cases they learned of similar robberies that had occurred in at least four other cities including; Haltom City, Euless, Colleyville and Arlington.  
 
Southlake detectives worked through the evening and early morning hours following up on several leads.  They were able to locate the suspects, Darian Riley and Cade Porter, in the city of Hurst.  Arrest warrants were obtained by Southlake and Haltom City detectives and both suspects were arrested at around 3:00 a.m. yesterday morning. Additional warrants are expected.
