School Board Looking To Fill Committee Vacancies

The Carroll School Board invites interested parents and taxpayers to volunteer their time and expertise on several Board Advisory Committees, including the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), the District Advisory Committee, Campus Site-Based Decision-Making Committees and more.

Completed applications must be returned to the Superintendent’s Office, 2400 N. Carroll Avenue in Southlake by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11. Submitting an application does not necessarily guarantee participation on a committee.  Members of the SHAC must be accepted and voted into their positions by the Carroll School Board. The membership of some committees, like the District Advisory Committee and Campus Site-Based Committees, must comply with state law.

This year, the Board’s committee application includes citizens or parents interested in serving on a Capital Needs Planning Committee (CNPC) to study facility and program needs related to maintenance, technology, safety and more.

In addition to the committees mentioned above, the Board also operates an Audit Committee and a Budget & Finance Committee. Copies of committee applications are being sent home in student folders at elementary campuses and provided electronically for parents in grades 5-12.
