Dragons Rally to Defeat Tulsa Union

IMG_5428TULSA – The Carroll Dragons used a big second half rally for a dramatic victory at Tulsa Union last Friday.

The Dragons won 34-30 and overcame a 23-7 halftime deficit behind outstanding defense and big plays on offense. Carroll (1-1) scored 21 points in the fourth quarter. Running back Shemar Coleman scored three touchdowns. Quarterback Mason Holmes, making his first career start, finished 24-of-39 with 313 yards and two TDs.

Union (0-1) took the lead at 30-27 with 4:00 left, but the Dragons rallied as Holmes led the game-winning drive that ended with Lil’ Jordan Humphrey’s three-yard TD run with 2:27 left in the game. Humphrey had 189 yards rushing.

Carroll’s home opener is Friday at 7:30 p.m. vs Midland Lee.
