Fm 1938 Update – Paving Begins on FM 1938 Construction Project

Paving of FM 1938 from the Carpe Diem School to Dream Maker/Gifford Ct began this week as the FM 1938 Phase II project reaches another milestone.

Motorists should notice some significant work being done on FM 1938/Randol Mill Road this week as TxDOT crews began paving a section of FM 1938 from the Carpe Diem School to Dream Maker/Gifford Court.  Work is being done in the evenings after 7:00pm in order to minimize impacts to traffic and the paving is expected to last the next several weeks. If you are traveling in the area while the work is being done, please exercise caution.

TxDOT has also requested that motorists do not pass the barricades and drive on the new pavement.  Pedestrians should also avoid walking on the new pavement while the barricades are up. This is not only for your safety, but also necessary to ensure that the pavement hardens in a timely manner. Driving and/or walking on the road while it’s hardening could cause delays  to the project.
