The shocking truth behind author Danny Bader

A man who was electrocuted and near death decades ago as a young man shared his story with about 80 Southlake residents and business leaders recently.

During his two-hour presentation “Managing Yourself and Your Stuff” at DPS North, Danny Bader touched on that roofing accident that killed his friend and nearly killed him too. Out of that devastating guilt and pain Bader has developed an outlook on life that encourages many people to reassess how they manage their own lives. His book, Back from Heaven’s Front Porch, is based on that tragic accident and forms the foundation for motivational speeches that he shares with groups that include Fortune 500 companies. “I was at a point in my life after the accident that I didn’t want help from anyone,” he said. “Over time I discovered that seeking support and evolving could work for me. I didn’t invent this stuff, but I enjoy sharing ideas with others that can help them achieve fulfilling lives.” Many of the attendees of the event stated that it was one of the most heartfelt and inspiring presentations they ever heard. The program was hosted jointly by the City of Southlake and Chamber of Commerce with sponsorship provided by Variosystems and Granite Properties.
