Around the Horn: Lady Dragons Defeats Rival Coppell

The Carroll Lady Dragon softball team improved to 16-9 overall and 5-2 in District 7-6A with a 6-2 home victory Tuesday against rival Coppell.

Carroll, which has won four consecutive games, was led at the plate by Madison Cashon and Gabby Garcia. Both players had two hits and two RBI apiece. Cami Green earned the victory on the mound going seven innings and had three strikeouts. The Lady Dragons led 4-2 after three innings and added single runs in the fifth and sixth. Carroll had nine total hits.

Carroll returns to action Friday at Richland at 7:15

Dragon Baseball Riding Win Streak
The Carroll Dragon baseball team bounced back from an 0-2 start in District 7-6A with three consecutive victories, including an 8-1 win Tuesday at Trinity. The Dragons also swept Richland last week 2-0 and 11-2. The Dragons have won three straight and were led by Reagan Rainwater on Tuesday.

Rainwater had two hits and two RBI. Ross Cadena and Zach Farrar also had two hits apiece. Pitcher Michael Canterino earned the victory and had eight strikeouts.

Carroll returns home Friday to host Trinity at 7 p.m.
