Dragon Baseball Swept by Hebron in Area Round

GRAND PRAIRIE – The Carroll Dragons were knocked out of the baseball playoffs last Friday by Hebron.

The Dragons were swept in the Class 6A area best-of-three series after losing 2-1 at QuikTrip Park. Carroll lost the opener Thursday 4-1.

Hebron’s pitching proved to tough to overcome as the Dragons were held to two runs in 14 innings. In Game 2, Dragon junior pitcher Kole Ramage kept the Dragons within striking distance. He had four strikeouts and scattered nine hits.

Carroll senior shortstop Hudson Sanchez led the Dragons at the plate going 2-of-2 and knocked in the only Dragon run.

The Dragons finished the year 21-8-1.
