Durham Intermediate Student Wins Poetry Contest

This past Saturday, October 23, eight students from Durham Intermediate School competed in a poetry contest at the Fort Worth Stockyards.  The students’ writing was selected from hundreds of entries. Of the 10 finalists, Will Vaughn of Durham Intermediate School in Southlake took first place for the second year in a row.  Will now has two college scholarships to the university of his choice as long as he remains drug free and crime free.
