 Carita Weaver of i5 web works Named to GRACE Board

Carita Weaver, co-founder and partner of i5 web works (, has been named to the board of directors for Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE), a non-profit relief agency serving those in need in Grapevine, Southlake and Colleyville. Weaver, whose three-year term began September 1, will work with other board members and staff to  develop policies, procedures and regulations for the conduct of GRACE; develop fundraising efforts; and participate in the campaign structure to finance GRACE. She will also serve on the board’s strategic planning committee.

Dr. Jayne Gardner Kicks-off Leadership Southlake 2010-11

Dr. Jayne Gardner, founder of The Gardner Institute (, a certified life coach training company, was the guest speaker at the first session of Leadership Southlake, held September 23 at Southlake Town Hall. Dr. Gardner’s presentation, entitled “Leadership from the Inside Out,” incorporated principles from The Gardner Institute’s accredited Mindset for Success executive coaching program, leadership examples and team building exercises.

“Leadership Southlake is an immensely popular educational program about the community, but more importantly, each person learns that self awareness is the highest capability of a leader,” says Dr. Gardner, who is a graduate of the Leadership Southlake program.  “Being a leader requires self knowledge to make good decisions.”

Southlake Chamber of Commerce Announces New Membership Development Director

Lana Ebersole has been named the new membership development director for the Southlake Chamber of Commerce. Her role will involve membership development, sponsorship sales and marketing.  Ebersole attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and has a BSBA in Marketing. She began her career in the healthcare industry as a pediatric pharmaceutical sales representative for Sciele Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi-Aventis.  Lana most recently served as an area manager for Encompass Home Health for the North Fort Worth territory.

“Lana brings a level of experience and skills to the Chamber that will allow us to focus on our members and their needs,” said Dana Davis, president and CEO of the Chamber. “Her successful background in sales and marketing will be an asset as we grow the Chamber and provide value to our members. We are excited to have Lana as part of the Chamber team.”
