Carroll Earns Highest Financial Rating

The Carroll School Board met Monday to conduct a public hearing on the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas. Carroll ISD has once again attained the highest rating of Superior Achievement from the Texas Education Agency. Robb Welch, Assistant Superintendent for Financial Services, said the rating is based on 2008-2009 data and includes 22 different financial indicators measuring things like fund balance, audit reports, academic ratings, tax collection rates and debt ratio, just to name a few. Welch said CISD once again scored a perfect 80-point score on the state’s rating system.
