S.W.A.T. Plans Grassroots Effort Saturday

On Saturday, October 30, S.W.A.T. – a grassroots movement of Southlake churches, businesses, organizations, and residents- will host its third community workday in Southlake. S.W.A..T. stands for Southlake Working as A Team. Since the August effort at the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve, many additional residents have expressed interest in helping with future events.  On October 30, from 9 a.m. to noon, the organization will strike again at six Southlake locations!

  • Carroll Sr. High School: 1501 W. Southlake Blvd.
  • Johnson Elementary School: 1301 N. Carroll Ave.
  • Rockenbaugh Elementary School: 301 Byron Nelson Pkwy.
  • Durham Elementary School: 801 Shady Oaks
  • Bicentennial Park: Facing Southlake Blvd
  • Southlake Department of Public Safety West: 2100 W. Southlake Blvd.

The goal for each site is to provide basic landscaping improvements.  This is a large undertaking, and S.W.A.T. needs many Southlake businesses, churches, organizations, and residents to come out and make this a special day for our City. Please mark your calendar for Saturday, October 30 from 9 a.m. to noon, sign up to work at a specific location online, and meet us there!
