SPARK Launches New Website

The new website www.SparkNow.org was recently launched, instantly becoming an online partner to parents and kids about the pressures of growing up.

The S.P.A.R.K. organization was launched when it became obvious that parents needed more information about the risks facing our children,” said Southlake Mayor Pro Tem Laura Hill.  “Talk turned into action as we set up meetings about topics such as drugs, bullying, safe driving, and eating disorders. We want www.SparkNow.org be an online resource for parents who may need information and options.”

www.SparkNow.orgshows parents what to watch for in their children, and once a problem becomes evident how to get help.  www.SparkNow.org is also a place for parents and kids to get educated and maybe even become part of the S.P.A.R.K. organization.

www.SparkNow.org  is just part of the equation.  S.P.A.R.K. has been holding meetings since 2008 to provide education, information and support for the parents and students of our community.   Its mission is to spark ideas, share information, identify needs, educate the community, mobilize resources, promote collaboration and advocate for sound public policy in a new commitment to empower our citizens in the battle against underage drinking, drugs, and internet perils.

S.P.A.R.K. meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of the month.  Check the City of Southlake’s web calendar or  www.SparkNow.org  for time and location. S.P.A.R.K. is chaired by Mayor Pro Tem Hill.   It is a recognized board of both Carroll Independent School District and the City of Southlake.
