Spokes 4 Hope

Saturday, October 16th will be the first annual Police escorted Jack’s Porch ride to benefit Spokes 4 Hope. The event will start at noon at Jacks Porch (1239 Main Street, Southlake, TX) with registration and an open party.  Kickstands will go up at 2:00pm and riders will collect donations to go toward giving bicycles and helmets to deserving Spokes 4 Hope children at Christmas time.

Spokes 4 Hope is a non-profit organization with a mission to help brighten the lives of children who are going through a difficult time in their lives. By working with Children Advocacy Centers, Southlake and Keller Police have set out to find a more compassionate and effective way to bring services to children victimized by abuse.  Together, local Police and Children Advocacy Centers have collaborated to provide bicycles to children at no cost to the family; something every child deserves to have and enjoy.

Child abuse is reported every 10 seconds and 3 children die every day as a result of such abuse. Spokes 4 Hope raises funds through Motorcycles Rallies and various special events like Police Rodeos to gift abused children with bikes during the Christmas Holidays to put a positive spark in their live to make sure these children know that people care and love them.  Come and join Southlake and Keller Police officers as they donate and participate in a great cause!

On November 13th, Southlake and Keller Police will host the 3rd Annual Police Motorcycle Rodeo and Charity Ride at Texas Motor Speedway.  More details on that event can be found here.
