Veterans Day Assemblies Highlight Carroll ISD Talent, Gratitude

Carroll ISD students, faculty and staff honored America’s Veterans Thursday, November 11, 2010.

Students of all grade levels participated in events across the district; each campus hosting their own program. These assemblies were touching tributes to U.S. Veterans.

Active and retired military were invited to attend these campus assemblies. Carroll Elementary welcomed a serviceman (pictured below, right) whom the students corresponded with while he was stationed in the Middle East.

Durham Elementary’s choir led by Mr. David Platt gave another outstanding performance filled with bight decorations and patriotic music.

Friday, Nov. 12, students at Eubanks Intermediate will get an opportunity to talk to Lt. Col. Brad McKeel via the internet. McKeel is currently overseas. He is also the husband Assistant Principal Trish McKeel.

Carroll ISD recorded and produced the following video featuring live music from the Dragon Band. The video highlights Veterans Day assemblies and events from nearly every campus in the district.
