Save The Date: May 20, 2011

Carroll High School will once again serve as host campus to Rachel’s Rally/Relay For Life, Southlake. Mark your calendars for Friday, May 20, 2011. Booths and entertainment will begin on the CHS site beginning at 5 p.m. and ending at about 7 a.m. Saturday morning. CISD will once again provide shuttle bus service from remote parking areas throughout the community. Last year, more than 5,000 participated in the event.

The end-of-year rally celebrating The Power Of One theme for the Rachel’s Challenge program will be held at 6 p.m. with performances from CISD students. Relay For Life, Southlake, an all-night fundraiser benefitting the American Cancer Society, will begin with opening ceremonies for cancer survivors at 7 p.m. and continuing throughout the night and early morning hours. In its first year, the event raised more than $221,000 and broke a number of records for first-time events.
