On Saturday, November 13th the Spokes 4 Hope Police Motorcycle Rodeo and Charity Ride will be taking off from Southlake. The Keller/Southlake Police Motorcycle Rodeo is the largest of its kind in the State of Texas. The continued success of this annual event has required a large venue than ever before, so this year the event is at the Texas Motor Speedway. Please join Spokes 4 Hope for an exciting day and watch North Texas’ most talented Motorcycle Officers demonstrate their superb riding skills. Every Spokes 4 Hope Motorcycle Rodeo raises money to give bicycles and helmets to underprivileged children in North Texas; this year’s goal is to gift 1,000 kids!
The Charity ride party and registration starts at noon at Jack’s Porch, 1239 Main Street, Southlake, Texas. Kickstands go up at 2pm to ride to Texas Motor Speedway. The Motorcycle Rodeo runs from 12-6pm and is $50.00 per registered Motorcycle. For the charity ride it is $20.00 per rider. There will be live entertainment on the main stage from 6-9pm. More details on that event can be found here.
Spokes 4 Hope is a non-profit organization with a mission to help brighten the lives of children who are going through a difficult time in their lives. By working with Children Advocacy Centers, Southlake and Keller Police have set out to find a more compassionate and effective way to bring services to children victimized by abuse. Together, local Police and Children Advocacy Centers have collaborated to provide bicycles to children at no cost to the family; something every child deserves to have and enjoy.
Child abuse is reported every 10 seconds and 3 children die every day as a result of such abuse. Spokes 4 Hope raises funds through Motorcycles Rallies and various special events like Police Rodeos to gift abused children with bikes during the Christmas Holidays to put a positive spark in their live to make sure these children know that people care and love them. Come and join Southlake and Keller Police officers as they donate and participate in a great cause!
