The Carroll School Board will meet Monday, December 13 in the Auditorium of Johnson Elementary School, 1301 N. Carroll Avenue. Trustees will participate in an extended executive session beginning at 5:30 p.m. and are estimated to open the public meeting at approximately 7 p.m.
The Board will conduct its annual public hearing for the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) at 7:30 p.m. This hearing is required by state law for every public school district in an effort to share AEIS data from the 2009-2010 school year.
In addition, Trustees will hear another attendance zone update from demographer Rocky Gardiner of Templeton Demographics, feedback on two calendar proposals for the 2011-2012 school year and will consider a number of agenda items related to the 2009 Bond Program, including an update from Elert & Associates, the district’s technology consultants. Trustees are also expected to consider a brick dedication/paving request for the new elementary school on North White Chapel Boulevard and an update on the district’s efforts to consider water wells for campus irrigation.
A complete agenda for the December 13 meeting will be posted to the CISD website Friday afternoon. Meetings are typically held on the first and third Mondays of each month. Carroll Trustees, however, have the right to alter that schedule, if necessary. The Board in Carroll typically holds only one meeting in the month of December.
