Dawson Students Learn To Give

Dawson Middle School students reached out to help social service agencies, traveling to 16 locations where they took on such tasks as unloading and sorting donated goods.

The schoolwide Helping Hands effort is an annual tradition at Dawson meant to teach children the importance of community service.

Before they took off for Winter Break, more than 600 Dawson students were bused on Dec. 17 to places like Mission Arlington, Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange (GRACE) drop-off station, Mimosa Manor Care Center in Keller and the Red Bag Food Drive at St. John Church in Southlake.
