The Carroll Lady Dragons’ basketball team wrapped up their winter break going 3-2 in the Sandra Meadows Tournament in Duncanville. In the tournament, the Lady Dragons knocked off Houston Bellaire, Allen and Kennedale and had a close loss to Trinity.
Carroll, now 17-5 overall, moves into its District 7-5A schedule the rest of the way and plays at rival Coppell at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4 in a battle for first place in district. The boys’ varsity game will follow at 7:30 p.m. Both Carroll teams will host Keller Central on Friday night, which will also be Senior Night.
The Lady Dragons currently sit tied atop 7-5A with Coppell at 3-0.
Meanwhile, the Dragons also return to 7-5A play and will look to rebound after going 0-2 in the 53rd Annual Whataburger Tournament in Haltom City. The Dragons are 10-8 overall and 0-1 in district play. Coppell is 1-0 in district and 15-5 overall.
