CMS Players Shine In All-American Bowl

Two Carroll Middle School football players played in a game they will never forget last weekend. Eighth graders Grady Sullivan (pictured, No. 17 middle row) and Parker Fentriss (No. 10, middle row) starred in the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The event, played in conjunction with U.S. Army High School All-American Bowl, included the top 7th and 8th graders from across the country.

Both players were on the West team which won 35-20. Sullivan, who plays quarterback, rotated series for the West. Fentriss played receiver and special teams. Before the game, Sullivan had the honor of being elected team captain.

The game included players from all across the country and were chosen from nominations and participation in Football University camps. Both players were also part of activities during the week leading up to the game. The players were  introduced during halftime of the Army All-American Game on Saturday.
