Belles Shine in Regional Competition

The Emerald Belles competed Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 12-13 in the Marching Auxiliaries Regional Competition at Grapevine High School. Out of over 50 teams there were named in the “Winner’s Circle” which is the Top 12 highest scoring teams at the competition.

The Belles received 1st place in their High Kick and Lyrical dances. They also were awarded Outstanding Choreography and Technique in all three dances they entered.

Emerald Belle Officers were awarded 1st place Overall out of all the teams at the competition. They received 1st place in their Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, and Hip-hop as well as Outstanding Choreography and Technique in all their dances.

Kyndall White, Alexa Trujillo, Katie Luther, Allison Young, Susan Benear, Maggie McNaughton, Kayla Wileman, Emily Gardner, Brooke Pennings, Madison Grossman, Caroline Kavanaugh, Lindsey Davis, Lacey Munoz, and Madison Wolbert entered in the Large Ensemble division with a high kick routine and placed 1st Runner-Up.

Kristen Mabry, Andrea Rivas, and Alexa Trujillo were named as Solo Finalists in the Junior/Senior division. Kristen placed 4th and Alexa placed 3rd.  Lindsey Davis, Aimee Lowe, and Jenna Seaton were named as Solo Finalists in the Freshman/Sophomore division. Lindsey placed 4th, Aimee 2nd, and Jenna was awarded 1st place winning the entire division.
