Regional Safety Summit

Updated: Due to inclement weather, the second of two Regional Safety Summit meetings has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011. The public is invited to attend the meeting to discuss residents’ top safety concerns.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the North Central Texas Council of Governments, located at 616 Six Flags Drive in Arlington.

The first meeting was held Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Plano. The Town Hall style meetings will give the public an opportunity to voice their top roadway safety concerns and help public safety officials prioritize concerns and develop solutions. The meeting are sponsored by the NTTA, Department of Public Safety and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
