Dragons Blast Fossil Ridge To Win 6th Straight

The Carroll Dragons’ baseball team opened District 7-5A play on the road Tuesday at Fossil Ridge. Carroll won 15-1, including a 10-run seventh inning, and produced an 11-hit attack. The Dragons held Fossil Ridge to four hits and won their sixth consecutive game. Top hitters included Patrick Quintanilla (3-for-4, 4 RBI, 2B), Ryan Lowe (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 2B) and Stephen Tanksley (2-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 2B)…Pitcher John Curtiss went six innings and allowed just three hits and had 12 strikeouts…Carroll will play in the Frisco Tournament beginning Thursday. The Dragons play at Frisco Wakeland at 1 p.m. Thursday and at 7 p.m. vs. Allen at Frisco Centennial.


Lady Dragons Move To 2-1 In District

The Lady Dragons’ softball team picked up a big District 7-5A victory Tuesday knocking off Northwest 4-1. Carroll scored all the runs it would need after the first two innings. The Lady Dragons picked up seven hits and held Northwest to four.  The top hitter was Sarah Littlehale, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI…Pitcher Kelsey Mann earned the victory and allowed just four hits and had three strikeouts…The Lady Dragons(9-10)  travel to Coppell on Friday, March 11. Game time is 7 p.m.
