Fort Worth Increases Wholesale Water Rate to City

The City of Southlake purchases its water from the City of Fort Worth. On January 1, 2011, a pass through rate increase for wholesale water went into effect raising the water rate by $0.20 per 1,000 gallons.

As a result, the City of Southlake will be passing this rate increase onto our customers with an effective date of May 1, 2011. This pass through increase applies to all accounts, both residential and non-residential, and equates to approximately an $8.00 increase for an average customer consuming 40,000 gallons of water during a monthly billing cycle.

Comments or questions regarding this matter may be addressed to Southlake Utility Billing Supervisor, Ms. Jennifer Newman (817) 748-8050 or Deputy Director of Finance – Operations, Mr. Sean Leonard (817) 748-8054.
