Dragons Roll At Mid Cities Tournament

The Dragons went undefeated last weekend at the Mid-Cities Tournament finishing an impressive 5-0. They defeated Richland 12-1; L.D. Bell 8-1; Fort Worth Paschal 3-1; Euless Trinity 11-0; and Arlington Lamar 12-9…Senior pitcher John Curtiss, a University of Texas signee, threw a five-inning complete game allowing one run and struck out 11 in the victory against L.D. Bell.  Also, senior Kyle Bailey and junior Ben Sego, had great performances against Trinity, each going 3-for-4 at the plate, leading a 13-hit attack in the victory…The Dragons’ next game is Tuesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at Fossil Ridge in the District 7-5A opener. Carroll is now 8-2 on the season.

Lady Dragon Falls To Keller, Face Northwest Tuesday

The Lady Dragons softball team dropped their District 7-5A contest last Friday to Keller 7-2. It was Carroll’s first district loss and fell to 1-1…The Lady Dragons also played in the Plano West tournament over the weekend. Carroll went 2-1, which  included victories against Sachse (14-7) and Burkburnett (5-4). The loss came to host Plano West 7-2…Alexandra Schneider, Cortney Hand and Sarah Littlehale each had two-RBI games in the tournament…The Lady Dragons (8-10) face Northwest at Bob Jones Park in Southlake at 7 p.m. Tuesday and travel to Coppell on Friday at 7 p.m.
