The Southlake Art Council, Art in the Square and Apex Arts League, are pleased to present “Art in the City” a professional art display on the walls of Southlake’s Town Hall.
“Art in the City will be the first of many exhibits in Town Hall,” said Southlake Art Council member Terri Messing. “The work of artist Quincy Conwell is a perfect choice for the first showing because of Mr. Conwell’s unique style of expression using a combination of art and architectural concepts to construct images that portray beauty and harmony. He is well known for the jazz influence seen in his work and impressive use of color.”
Conwell has been an Art in the Square artist for 12 years and was honored as Artist of the Year in 2002. His paintings have been exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the country and he has received numerous honors and awards.
This display will hang for one month from the close of Art in the Square, April 19 through May 17. The display is free and open to the public during regular Town Hall hours.
