Student Art Auction

Carroll ISD painting students will auction their final art project of the year in an upcoming silent art auction. Painting II and Painting III classes at Carroll Senior High School are putting finishing touches on artwork to be submitted to the auction.

An estimated 25 paintings or more on the auction block will be on display in the Dragon Gallery at Carroll Senior High School. Viewing and bidding starts Tuesday, May 24 at 8:00 a.m. and ends  Friday, May 27 at 3:00 p.m. Bid sheets will be provided. Bidders will leave their name, contact information and bid amount. Winners will be contacted at the end of the week. Proceeds from the auction will go back to the student.

This is the first year Carroll painting students will auction their final painting. In prior years, the Carroll Education Foundation chose from final works to be used for marketing the Culinary Event. The Culinary Event is CEF’s annual fundraiser held every October. Since 2006, the CEF has distributed over $800,000 in grants to Carroll Independent School District. The CEF award a $1,000 scholarship to a student selected for their painting. In addition this year, the Association of Texas Professional Educators will be selecting one painting for purchase and giving the student a $500 scholarship.
