Dragons JV Hockey Takes 2nd In City Championship

The Carroll Dragons Junior Varsity Silver hockey team recently finished second in the City Championship. The Dragons lost to Birdville 3-1. Before reaching the title game, the Dragons defeated top-seed Marcus in the quarterfinals and No. 2-seed Richardson/Rockwall in the semifinals.

I am very proud of our team, Carroll coach Dave Yockey said. "After starting the season with a 1-7-0 record, our boys never gave up. They showed up to practice every week with a positive attitude. We ended the season with an outstanding 10-4-0 record which barely got us into the playoffs. We knew that we were better than the No. 8 seed that was given to us and we proved it. Every member of the team contributed in some way. We were proud to receive our City Finalist medals and consider this successful season.
