2011 Bird on the Run – Year of the Roadrunner Results

On Saturday, April 9th, Southlake residents laced up their running shoes to join the City of Southlake, the Northeast Tarrant Amateur Radio Club, and the Southlake Mounted Patrol in the Bob Jones Nature Center Organization’s second annual, 4 mile “Bird on the Run”.  Race participants also had the option of taking a one-mile fun run along the Center’s scenic trails.

With a race time of only 30.01 minutes, Samantha Godbold took home the first place title for women.  The fastest completion time among all male age categories was brought home by Robert Flower with a race time of 29.27 minutes.  Other first place winning times for each male and female age category are:

  • “19 and Under”: Whitney Woods (36.50 min.) and Alex Dickson (39.46 min.)
  • “20 to 29”: Donny Weisman
  • “30 to 39”: Michelle Williams (37.58 min.) and Jeremy Stubbs (32.08 min.)
