Construction Briefs – Southlake Boulevard Improvement Project Update

Construction of raised medians and right-turn deceleration lanes is slowly moving east.  As part of these safety enhancements, Southlake residents should expect daily, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm lane closures along Southlake Boulevard between Davis Boulevard and Waterford Drive and between Bicentennial Drive and Lake Crest Drive.

Median construction between the east side of White’s Chapel Boulevard and Diamond Boulevard/ Bryon Nelson Parkway, near White’s Chapel Methodist Church started the week of April 11, 2011.  Permanent lane closures within this area will be in place for approximately 4-6 weeks.  Texas Department of Transportation and church officials will coordinate with each other during the upcoming holiday services.  Once this median construction is complete, work will begin between the west side of Waterford Drive and White’s Chapel Boulevard.

Lane closures at the intersection of Brock Drive and Southlake Boulevard related to the construction of a right turn deceleration lane, however, have been removed. Lane closures between Meadowlark Lane and Waterford Drive near Carroll Senior High School are also expected to be removed the week of April 11, 2011.
