Scooping for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

On Wednesday, Southlake residents and visitors not only got to enjoy ice cream at a reduced price but were served members of Southlake DPS Fire Services!  For the past 5 years Baskin Robbins has reduced the price of the ice cream to 31 cents per scoop to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).  The Fallen Firefighters Foundation honors firefighters who died in the line of duty and lends a helping hand to their families. In addition to Baskin Robbins Ice Cream donating $100,000 to the fund, donations were collected at each participating store.

This is the second year that members of Southlake Fire Services have participated in the benefit.  For information about the NFFF visit their website at http://firehero.org.
