Southlake Fire Responding to Wildfires

For the second time this spring, Southlake Fire Services has been activated by the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) to assist in fighting wildfires in the western portion of the state.  The earlier deployment sent Fire Services members to areas near Abiline between February 27th and March 1st.  The current wildfire situation is worsening state-wide and the Texas Forest Service is reporting one of the busiest wildfire seasons in Texas history.

As with the previous deployment, the two-man team from Southlake DPS Fire Services is operating the Southlake Brush Truck as a part of a larger North East Fire Department Association (NEFDA) taskforce.
