Boys & Girls Golf Teams Win 7-5A Titles

The Carroll Dragons boys’ golf team claimed the District 7-5A title last week at Robson Ranch in Argyle. The Dragons were led by Vince Martino, who won the individual title by shooting 143. He finished one stroke ahead of second-place teammate Blake Pugh.

Carroll shot 586 as a team and Northwest finished second at 613. The Dragons now head to the Class 5A Region I tournament in Lubbock on Wednesday-Thursday, April 20-21 at Texas Tech’s Rawls Golf Course.

The Lady Dragons’ golf team earned the District 7-5A championship Monday and Tuesday at Bridlewood Golf Course in Flower Mound. The Lady Dragons Black team won the title by 73 shots over second-place Coppell. The Lady Dragons Green team finished third, seven shots behind Coppell.

Senior Kailey Glenn led the Black team and earned the individual district title, shooting a total of 143 (73 and 70). The Green team was led by junior Amanda Juntti and earned 10^thoverall. The Black team advances to the Class 5A Region I tournament on Monday-Tuesday, April 18-19 in Lubbock.
