The administration and staff of Carroll Independent School District are proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2011.
Hannah Dotson (pictured left), daughter of Grace and Paul Dotson, was named this year’s Valedictorian. Hannah lives in Southlake. Next year, she will attend California Institute of Technology to study Biomedical Engineering and Biology. Some of Hannah’s activities included membership in the Carroll Robotics Club, Carroll Medical Academy and playing flute in the Dragon Marching Band.
Kelsey Simmons (pictured right) was named this year’s Salutatorian. Kelsey is the daughter of Kristi and Chris Simmons who call Grapevine home. Kelsey will attend Vanderbilt University next year, where she will major in Biomedical Engineering.
The Carroll Senior High School Guidance Office released a list students whose grade point average is in the top 10 percent of the graduating class. To see the entire list, click here.
The Class of 2011 has 562 students. Commencement Ceremonies were held Friday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. Gates opened at 6:15 p.m. For additional information about the event or details on commemorative items for purchase, click here.
