The City of Southlake’s third annual Summer Kick Off was a huge success drawing an estimated crowd of 750. At the event, Southlake families were treated to live music from the Crawfish Band, free ice cream, balloon animals, bounce houses, and activities led by summer camp instructors and various City departments.
At the Kick Off, the Library’s booths bustled with activity as kids had their faces painted and signed up for the Library’s Summer Reading Club. The City’s Public Works department also taught families about water conservation and showcased a very popular “giant bubble” attraction.
Finally, a special thank you goes out to the following organizations for their crucial support to this year’s Summer Kick Off: Chick Fil-A, the Southlake Tennis Center, the Bob Jones Nature Center, Safe Haven of Tarrant County, Children’s Medical Center, Independent Pool/Spa Service Association, and All-Safe Pool Safety.
