Barricades are up and the Southlake Boulevard entrance to Bicentennial Park is now closed. The closure is necessary to complete the entrance to the park; it’s the latest step in the makeover which started in late 2009.
The Shady Oaks entrance to the park is open. The entrance on Southlake Boulevard is expected to remain closed for at least the next four weeks.
Phase one improvements included entry features, 4-plex baseball fields, concessions areas and five tennis courts. Phase two which will get underway soon, will include further baseball field enhancements, playground, connecting streets pathways and parking.
