Lady Dragons Fall To Marcus In Bi-District Playoffs

COPPELL – The Carroll Lady Dragons’ softball season came to an end Saturday in the Class 5A bi-district playoffs.

The Marcus Lady Marauders completed a two-game series sweep of Carroll on Friday and Saturday at Coppell. Marcus won the first game 9-0 and the second game 3-2. In the second game, the Lady Dragons rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the third inning with two runs in the fifth. Carroll pitcher Morgan Bailey went six innings and allowed four hits and one earned run. Marcus held the Lady Dragons to just two hits.

Carroll’s successful season included a third-place finish in District 7-5A and the team finished 17-16 overall.
