Lisa Young, Carroll ISD’s Coordinator for 21st Century Learning and Professional Development, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (TASCD). She has been a member of the ASCD organization since 1999 and worked in Coppell ISD before becoming a Dragon.
Young is a member of CISD’s Teaching & Learning Services Department, providing instructional and professional development support to classroom teachers and campus administrators. She says TASCD must continue to provide ongoing, job-embedded professional development, including online sessions and webinars. The organization, she believes, must serve as an advocate for educational funding at the state level and offer support, coaching and encouragement to other educators while researching current educational data, statistics, trends and developments.
Young is a member of several state and national education associations.
