Carroll's Strike Accepts Deputy Position

Dr. Lowell Strike announced this week that he has accepted the Deputy Superintendent’s position with the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District. He was hired by Carroll ISD as an assistant superintendent in 2007 and became Associate Superintendent for Student Services during a reorganization of central office in 2008. In that role he has been responsible for overseeing student services, technology, teaching and learning services and campus administrators. He also served as a liaison to parent and community support groups in the Southlake community.

During his tenure as a Dragon, Dr. Strike was known for his commitment to excellence in all areas and for his ability to build strong community relationships. He started the district’s first community leadership program – Carroll Leadership Academy for Supporting Success or CLASS – in 2008 and worked with the Southlake Area Chamber of Commerce to recognize graduating seniors at a special Flame of Excellence awards ceremony in May.

“Lowell has had a tremendous impact on Carroll during his time here,” said Superintendent David J. Faltys, Ed.D. “I will certainly miss having him a part of our team, and I wish him the best in this new endeavor.”  Carroll school officials say they will announce plans for the position vacancy in the near future.

EM-S ISD Superintendent Jim F. Chadwell, Ed.D., announced the news to his staff and community today. Dr. Strike will serve as that district’s number two administrator beginning in August, overseeing curriculum, instruction, campus leadership, staff development, technology, athletics, and program assessment and evaluation. Prior to 2008, Dr. Strike worked with Dr. Chadwell in Northwest ISD. He has 31 years of total experience in education in Iowa and Texas school districts.
