Driver Hits Town Hall Building With Vehicle

Update: A representative from Frank Neal Engineering has assessed the damage to Town Hall.  It has been determined that the damage is limited to the building’s facing.  The structure is sound.  The cost to repair the damage is estimated at $15,300.

Southlake’s Town Hall sustained minor damage on Thursday afternoon, September 22nd after a driver lost control and hit the north side of the building. The accident occurred near the intersection of Civic and Grand Avenue.

The car’s driver was not injured.  There does not appear to be any major structural damage to the building but structural engineers will be consulted to be certain.

A small tree in front of the building may have helped to slow the vehicle and prevent further damage.

Southlake police are conducting a routine investigation on the accident.
