Dragon Golfers Win Season-Opening Tournament

The Carroll varsity boys’ and girls’ golf teams played in the McDonald’s Red Raider Golf Classic last Friday and Saturday. The boys got off to a great start for the year winning the tournament by 13 shots. Vince Martino won first-place honors firing a 65-68-133 while Matt Gilchrest was runner up with a 68-70-138.

The girls had a great start as well finishing in second place in a strong field of competitors. Allison Bock lead the way with a sixth-place finish shooting 80-70-150.
