SAGT Addresses Student Stress

The Southlake Association for Gifted and Talented welcomes internationally known author, educator and speaker on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Carolyn Coil, Ed.D. will talk about what parents, caregivers and teachers can do for stressed-out kids who are dealing with stress and perfectionism.

Coil works with teachers, parents and students offering practical strategies for raising student achievement, differentiating curriculum, implementing a variety of assessment strategies and dealing with the problems and challenges associated with preparing ourselves and our children for living and working in the 21st century.

The session will be held at Carroll Middle School located at 1800 E. Kirkwood Boulevard on Tuesday, November 29 from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Admission is free for SAGT members and Carroll ISD teachers. Non-members must pay $5. Click here for more information about this and other SAGT events.
