City Briefs for the Week of October 17

Monday, October 17 – A total of three Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) meetings will be held (details below). For the agenda to these and other meetings, please click here.

  • At 6:00 p.m., the Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) #5 will host a meeting to discuss the proposed development of three lots on 3.275 acres located at 1581 Randol Mill Avenue, surrounded by the Westwyck Hills development and fronting Fanning Street.
  •  At 7:00 p.m., SPIN #8 will host a city-wide meeting to discuss a requested zoning change from CS – Community Service to SP – Site Plan specific zoning to include existing CS uses plus O-1 Office use for the 60,774 s.f. former Gateway Church building at 2121 East Southlake Boulevard. The zoning change is being requested to allow primary use of the property as radio / television / internet broadcasting and production studios. 
  • At 8:00 p.m., SPIN #9 will host a meeting to discuss a proposed single family residential development of 74 lots situated on 46.6 acres located at 400 Carroll Avenue, 1200 feet south of Southlake Boulevard.  These meetings will be held in Town Hall – Third Floor Training Rooms.

Tuesday, October 18 – The Southlake City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers for a work session. The Regular Session will begin after the work session. The Public Forum will not begin prior to 7:00 p.m. For the agenda to this and other meetings, please click here.

Wednesday, October 19 – The Southlake 2030 Land Use Plan Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m. in Town Hall to discuss hotels and to finalize the recommendations for the S.H. 114 Corridor. For the agenda to this and other meetings, please click here.

Wednesday, October 19 – The Crime Control & Prevention District Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at DPS Head Quarters (600 State Street). For the agenda to this and other meetings, please click here.
