Southlake Sister Cities in Search of Ambassadors for 2012 Youth Trip

Southlake Sister Cities is currently accepting applications for youth ambassadors to represent Southlake on its annual student exchange trip to Tome, Japan from June 4^th-11^th, 2012.  Ambassadors must be between the ages of 15 – 18 years old and become a member of Southlake Sister Cities.  Participants will experience Japanese culture first-hand, during a week-long stay with host families.  While in Tome, the youth ambassadors will visit museums, temples and schools, enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine and experience everyday life in Japan.  A City of Southlake chaperone will also accompany the ambassadors on their trip.

Interested participants must complete an application and submit a short essay on why they would like to visit Tome, Japan.  Recommendations from a teacher or counselor, as well as Principal approval are required.
