Water Line Break Causes Damage to Town Hall

Southlake’s Town Hall experienced water damage Saturday afternoon when a fire protection water line broke on the building’s north side.  Much of the first floor was flooded, and the library was closed early.

A disaster recovery team is in place to assess the damage and clean up the water.  A damage assessment won’t be available until the water is fully extracted.  The clean up process is expected to take several hours.

At its peak, the water was between five and six inches deep.  The City’s library, and several Tarrant County offices are located on the first floor.  City staff will determine Sunday if the library will be re-open on Monday.

Look for updates as more information becomes available.
