Art Wing Flies High

The Carroll ISD AP Boosters organized a Carroll Fine Arts Exposition and Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 7- 9 p.m.

The event celebrated the new Carroll Senior High Fine Art Wing completed this fall. The design and construction of the new facility is part of the 2009 Bond package. In addition to instructional classrooms, the 11,220 square foot art wing features a 3-D studio room, kiln and glaze rooms, a computer lab, outdoor work area and a large gallery. The building is located on the north end of the campus, facing Southlake Boulevard. Carroll Senior High School is located at 1501 Southlake Boulevard.

Highlights of the December Open House included a student gallery exhibit, presentations by AP Art History and the Director of Admissions for SMU Meadows School of Fine Arts. Organizers provided information about Carroll ISD’s Pre-AP and AP Art offerings and travel abroad opportunities. Carroll Choir members also performed during the event.

The Carroll Fine Arts Exposition and Open House was coordianted by the Carroll ISD AP Boosters.
